SANJIESAN LORE / BUYING GUIDE
Choose a long-document tool for a world-bible extract
A world bible can become difficult to revise when reference notes and reader-ready prose occupy the same undifferentiated document. Literature & Latte presents Scrivener as a long-project writing tool with section organisation and compilation. Test it with a small world-bible extract before moving an entire setting archive into it.
Bring three unlike sections
Prepare a location introduction, a rules explanation and a research note containing material that must not appear in the shared extract. Add one image caption. During a trial, arrange these as separate working pieces, then change the order of the first two. Check whether the overview remains understandable. A tool that makes rearrangement easy is useful only if you can still tell background research from the text you intend to deliver.
Compile a deliberately limited extract
Generate a supported output containing only the intended sections, and inspect it in the application your collaborator actually uses. Look for included notes, missing captions, broken heading levels and unexpected blank pages. Do not judge export quality from the editor view alone. If the setting book needs complex page composition, assess whether a later layout stage is necessary instead of expecting a writing application to replace every production tool.
Buy for the platform and collaboration model
The official store separates platform licences, so verify the devices and operating systems you need rather than assuming one purchase covers every setup. Ask whether collaborators need the native project or only a compiled file. If simultaneous editing is essential, investigate that requirement specifically; an application collecting research is not automatically a shared real-time wiki. Keep your existing source available while evaluating the sample, and buy only after the handoff is workable.
